I took him to the ER last night with a 103 fever. By the time I got there it had dropped to 101 but even after Tylenol all night it is still up. He has also had loose BMs for 4 days now and is very gassy today. I gave him some gas drops which didn't seem to help at all. He barely slept last night and then this morning he was screaming for food but then wouldn't eat. I checked him again and it was back up to 103.6. I called the Ped. and they said they couldn't see him and to take him to the ER. I was always told that 104 is skirting the line with seizures. They looked him over, determined that his chest and ears were clear {praise God} but that he has a virus. I am to give him Tylenol every 4 hours on the dot for 2 days or {hopefully} until the fever is gone for 12 hours. If he is still feverish in 2 days or still has diarrhea in 5 days I have to take him back into the clinic.
The poor boy is miserable. This baby NEVER cries unless he is hungry. His poor little eyes are so red and his throat is sore from crying all last night and all day today. He also hates having his nose suctioned. He is kinda sleeping right now. His eyes keep popping open every now and then but for the most part he is getting some rest. For those of you who are religious, would you please pray that his fever stays under control and that he gets well soon? If his fever gets out of control he could have a seizure of suffer brain damage. I'll be going without sleep for the third night tonight. DH is going to watch him when he gets home from work so I can get some rest before tonight. Thanks everyone. I'll keep you updated.

Well he slept for about 4 hours last night. Not his normal night, but better than last night and the night before. His fever broke and is back down to 99. His nose is still really stopped up and he isn't breathing very well. I suctioned it but it didn't seem to help much. I'll do it again next time he is upset so I don't ruin a good moment for him. He's been crying so much that when he is happy and half smiling I don't want to do anything that might upset him. He is sleeping in his swing right now. I will be heading back to bed when DH leaves for work. Hopefully Little Bit can stay asleep for a few hours and let me rest more. Thanks for the prayers everyone. See you later today.
