Tackle It Tuesday! - The don don don Kitchen Edition!

Okay y'all.  Last night was so not cool!  I have to brag and I am so sorry to the other billion mom's with normal kids.  If you don't wanna hear my b*tch fest....skip the next paragraph and only read the last sentence of it.  That's the only important part of it lol.  If you wanna know more about little ol' me then read on!

My kid is NOT normal.  He was born over a month early at just under 8lbs.  He is already the size of a 1 year old and he is 4 months old.  He only cries when he is dirty, hungry and recently when he teeth are hurting his gums, but a good snuggling stops the tears.  And... {this is the part I love and I'm sorry about} he slept through the night since the day he was born.  First it was the magnesium I was on, which sucked because he slept through his feedings and never learned to latch on.  It was a tough time for both of us, but once we got past that, and finally broke down to using a bottle, it was nice to be able to sleep and recover from my surgery and depression.  Last night I learned what it is like to be a normal mommy... we were {the baby and I, daddy slept through all but one of the scream sessions} up EVERY hour last night.  I have no idea what the deal was either.  He'd go back to bed once he saw me and calmed down but then about 40 mins later {just as I was falling back asleep mind you} he would scream bloody murder again.  *sigh*  So anyways... All that bragging/complaining was just to say I'm tired exhausted but I STILL have things needing to be tackled today so here we go!

My List for Today is fairly short but one of them will take all day I fear.
  • Pluck my eyebrows before they get so out of control that I need to wax them again.
  • Make some Banana Nut Bread before the bananas completely rot.  I am using Santa's Gift Shoppe's recipe.  You can find it on her blog here.  She has some awesome things y'all!
  • {Here's the doozy}  Clean and Reorganize my kitchen!  I was inspired by the crafty lady at A Vision to Remember to clean my kitchen!  Then... that trickster went and posted a link up... I HAD to join!  {Thanks for the link up by the way.  It's making me get in there and clean.}  I have been wanting to deep clean my kitchen and re-organize it for a while.  It sorta just had things thrown in a drawer or cupboard after the baby was born so it is time I organize so I can cook and bake more easily.  {I'll do it after the banana nut bread since I know that will likely get messy lol}  And I can't believe I am doing this... but I have a newborn so I am sure you'll forgive me... I am about to show you the horrible Before Pictures!!!  No bugs or mold... but there is trash and dirty dishes from yesterday lol.
 That is a pile of trash on the kitchen table.  This kitchen is so not baby proofed and we only have about 2 months before he'll be mobile.
All my counter tops and cupboards are that haphazardly cluttered.  I almost broke ALL my glass bake ware because it fell out of the closed cabinet there on the right.  I cried at the thought...
My husband jokes that the pasta boiling over is my alarm to go check on it.  This is the aftermath of last night's dinner.  I need to buy a new scrubber.  The one I have right now won't get that cooked on mess up.  I'll be using my fingernails today.
Yesterday's dishes.  I HATE doing dishes.  The pink gloves help though lol.
My cooking and baking utility drawer.  I take forever to find anything in there... and then I end up having to pull half of the items out to get to the one I need.
This needs scrubbing!  I didn't know my parents bought veggies while they were visiting and they gooified in there!  Ewww...  {LOL I so just tried to spell check "gooified" because it has the warning red underline}
This is a pretty neat corner cabinet.  It holds A LOT of stuff... unfortunatly...
I have to stand like this to get anything out of it... and if it gets pushed to the back I have to climb up on the cabinet... which is fun, but I always end up pulling something getting down.  I think I will put those cool lazy susans {the spinning plates} in there so I can spin the back stuff to the front.

OMGosh eww... so just noticed the ick under my oven.  Gonna have to get that too.
