Our Little Family

My Soldier -
This is us after his basic graduation.  We hadn't seen each other for three months.  He got buff and I'd slimmed down.
Getting ready to report back in during Advance Individual Training.
Battle Rattle is sexy!  But apparently uncomfortable...
Oh yeah! Sexy hubby!
Being promoted.  I was so proud!
Such a proud daddy...teaching Little Bit how to fly.

Our Little Angel -
Here's Little Bit!  I tried my fairy wings on him and thought he looked adorable!  He thought they were annoying...
At a baseball game with daddy.  He had a natural mohawk at that age that I spiked with his sunscreen lotion.
My sleeping angel.
"What mommy?"
Chillin' with his daddy.  That is one of my favorite photos of them.

Our Feline Son -
This is our cat, Shadow.  He is about to be 4 years old.  We got him the day after he was born.  We raised the whole litter and kept him out of the four.  We often call him Mr. Shadow Butt because he tends to be a jerk sometimes, or McFatty Puss...because well....
Truth be told, he is 17lbs... mostly muscle.  He is a huge cat but somehow is not overweight according to the vet.  He is part Korat.  Here are some more pics of our "little boy".
Shadow is on the very far right, along with Tigerlily and Pinkie.
Shadow is the all gray one.  You can barely see his stripes now.  He still have ringlets on the tip of his tail.
Kitty Ying Yang!
Biting his daddy the day his eyes opened.
His very first toy.
His very first bath.  He did NOT like it!
Shadow likes to "Yarr" on my husband's shoulders like a parrot on a pirate.  He won't do it on mine because mine aren't wide enough for his comfort.
He's not a fan of wearing clothes though...
even though I continue to dress him!  {Or maybe because I continue to dress him?}
One day I was making burgers.  DH heard a growling in the study.  When he went to investigate this is what we found.  Shadow had his first taste of blood that day and he DID NOT want to give up that baggie!
Mister Snooty Pants!
My very own kitty bookend.
I brought home a rocking horse for Little Bit to use when he got older {because I found it for $25 and it makes NOISES TOO! How cool!?} and Shadow thought he was a cowboy!
He also thought this baby carrier was his after we tried it out on him.
Shadow on his very first road trip.
He's an Army cat now so he's made several more since then.  We were stopped in this picture {hence it being taken from the driver's side} or I wouldn't have let him sit like that.
He's always getting into places he shouldn't be...
I don't even want to know how he got in there... I closed my eyes while DH got him out... I just knew he was going to break all my dishes.  DH managed to extract him without any breakage.  My hero!
About 15 minutes later we found him here...
We found him rootin' around in a wal-mart bag so I picked it up and watched him break free.  It was pretty funny.
He LOVES the Christmas tree.  Here he was a few months old... this year he just chewed on it and didn't climb it thank God.
He thinks he's a dog.  He even plays fetch with those plastic rings that come off milk jugs.  He taught himself that game actually.
And what kind of Yarr Cat would he be without a pirate ship to call his own?

Shippo-
Shippo is a Shiba Inu.  He was born 6 months after Little Bit, to the day!
